It is related that a righteous man from Morocco used to meet with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in a wakeful state. One day he asked, "O Messenger of Allah, I drink coffee, so what should I say when I drink it?" The Prophet replied, "Say:
Allāhumma aj'alhā nūran li basarī wa āfiyatan li badanī wa shifa'an li qalbī wa dawā'an li kulli dā'in Ya Qawiy Ya Matīn
O Allah, make it light for my eyes, good health for my body, a cure for my heart and medicine for all illnesses; O Strong, O Firm.
Then say Bismillah and drink." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, then said, "The angels will continue to seek forgiveness for you as long as the flavour of coffee remains in your mouth."
It is also related that it is from the things that the jinn brought to the Prophet Sulayman, saying to him, "Funn jān," meaning, "The craft of the Jinn." And hence the Arabs have used the word finjān, for their cups of coffee.

This hadith is extremely suspicious. It does not appear in any of the main books of hadith, and coffee as a normal beverage happens long after the time of the Prophet sas.
