Hadara Ba Sawdan

The Ḥadara Bā Sawdān by Shaykh Abdallah bin Aḥmad Ba Sawdān, is a collection of prayers, invocations, and devotional poems. This text holds a special place in the tradition of the mashā’ikh, who recite it every Tuesday as a means of seeking protection from disasters and calamities, a practice that began during Shaykh Abdallah Bā Sawdān’s lifetime.
 
Among the various devotional texts of the Banī Alawī aimed at warding off afflictions, the Ḥaḍara Ba Sawdān is one of the most widely recognised.
